This August, Google has made an official announcement for Google Android 8.0 Oreo. It has some new features which helps developer to develop an application in a very compatible way.

  • The new Android 8.0 ‘Oreo’ has several new features amongst which there is a feature known as picture-in-picture which allows two apps to be used simultaneously. Probably the best feature that they have brought to the new OS is the ability to directly teleport into new apps from the browser on instead of installing the app.

  • While powering up, the user will notice that the boot time is almost half as compared to the previous version.

  • All the Android developers may now provide a full-bleed square shaped icon and OEMs will mask the icon to ensure intra-device consistency.

  • It allows applications to reduce comfortable graphic content with more lively colors and subtle inclines. The OS chains full-color management which agrees on applications to reduce images.

  • This subsystem will help apps achieve significantly quicker by way of on-device appliance learning. This scaled-down version of Google's machine learning tool uses Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) to improve the overall experience.
  • Google Play Protect:

  • Start with Oreo, Android will include a real-time safety scanner that resolve scan all apps that originate from the Google Play Store.
  • Google Play Console Dashboards:
